I watch BNN’s Top Picks daily to get possible ideas for short term and long term investing ideas.  Last week I watched David Baskin on Top Picks.

These were his picks . From his segment :

1. Keyera Pipeline ( KEY.To) . The dividend  yield is 5.2% . The price at the time of the show is $32.37. It currently has 11 buys and 4 holds. The price target from Baskin is $42.64. He personally owns shares in this company, and believes it is a great time to buy this high quality company.
2. Scotiabank ( BNS.TO) – Scotiabank’s 25% of business is outside of North America. It has 4.5% dividend yield. 13 buy, 3 hold and 1 sell recommendations and Baskin is personally invested in the company.
3. CCL Industries (CCL-B-TO) .Baskin describes this company as a cash flow machine.  The dividend yields is .8% .

Something I normally keep in mind , how the recommender’s past picks have performed. Baskin’s 2 out of 3 past picks have lost money .
