If you have been following my stock picks you would have realized there are two stocks I enjoy day trading. Lithium Americas Corp ( LAC.TO / LAC) and Katanga Mining Limited (KAT.TO) .

One is a Lithium Mining Company and the other is a Copper Mining Company .

I came across a very interesting segment on BNN today . In this segment Paul Gait of Bernstein Investment was discussing about Electric Car Demand – specifically the demand for various commodities associated with electric car production.

He is bearish on Lithium and Nickel and bullish on Cobalt and Copper . Two thirds of Cobalt supply sits in the Congos. One of Paul’s recommended Cobalt play is Glencore PLC . Ivanhoe Mining is another recommendation (IVN-T).

I currently hold a large position in Lithium and will be looking into liquidating that position. Will also be looking at the companies Paul recommended.
