We went on a weekend trip from Toronto to London, Ontario last weekend. We wanted a beach day so we ended up at Grand Bend . Grand Bend is about an hour from London, Ontario and about three hours from Toronto.

It is a pretty little beach town with a decent Lake Beach . You get the whole summering in small town on a Lake vibe.

There are charming shops and good restaurants lining the road leading to the beach . We got there around 1.30 pm and struggled to find parking and had to park on the other side near the yacht club .

The water was slightly cold . The day we went it was a bit murky. I have heard on other occasions it is very blue and clear .

There was a really good restaurant called Willie’s Beach Bar that served amazing salmon burger with cheese and sweet potato fries. I would go back to Grand Bend just for this food !

The beach also had water sports such as parasailing and water jet skiing.

We also did ax throwing which we enjoyed very much . A family run business where everyone was so helpful. It is not easy as it seems .

The strip also head beaver tails ! Everything needed for the perfect beach day !
