Bali is one of the most popular countries for vacation. You read about it in books, it is in tv shows and movies and you see countless photos about it on social media.

It is a uniquely beautiful place . I spend about a week in Bali and would definitely go back and enjoy it at a much relaxed pace .

Bali has many interesting cities/towns and if you can only visit one you should pick Ubud. Will write a separate post dedicated to Ubud but for now let’s focus on where to stay in Ubud.

We stayed at the Element by Westin . We picked this hotel mainly because we were able to book it using our spg points and the photos looked beautiful! We were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is a beautiful property with an amazing breakfast buffet. We also had room service and snacks by the pool . The food was good.

The hotel is surrounded by greenery and the hotel and property is beautifully designed . Loved the pool and the plumeria plants throughput the property .

The hotel is about 20 minuets by Grab ( Bali Uber ) from downtown Ubud and some of the main attractions. I recommend staying outside of the main town area . More peaceful and less crowded . The ride downtown cost less than $10 dollars.

The beds in the hotel is very comfortable, it is clean , has a safe , no insects and the common areas are thoughtfully designed .

Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay out of the busy area and relax . It’s a great value for your money and points !
