We decided to spend a few days in Paracas to explore the desert region of Peru, visit Ballestas Island and relax in a resort setting. Hotel Paracas was perfect for this purpose.

It was such an amazing property that I had to split the write up about it into multiple posts !

We traveled from Lima on a super fancy bus with a company called Cruz De Sol – more about this on a different post ! From the bus stop to hotel we caught a taxi . It drives through some run down looking areas . You get used to this type of areas in South America.

Once you get inside the property it is a noticeable difference compared to outside. Everything is spotlessly clean and beautifully designed.

The Suite

During check-in we were welcomed with warmth, drinks and clean towels! Due to my status with Marriott’s loyalty program we were upgraded for free to the best room they had which was an individual suite with two bathrooms, large living room multiple outdoor entertainment space and a private pool !

This suite had the largest outdoor living space of any suites I have stayed at ! It was perfect for the relaxing portion of our trip .

Highly recommend this resort if you want a day or two to relax as part of your Peru trek !
