Maido In Lima, Peru

Maido In Lima, Peru

We had made lunch reservation at Maido based on recommendations from a friend. Maido is a Japanese/Peruvian Restaurant in Lima . It is the number one restaurant in The Best Restaurant In Latin America Ranking! It is also 10 th in the world’s 50 best Restaurant list !

Decor And Service

The decor is beautiful. There are robes hanging from the entire length of the ceiling. Everyone at the restaurant is cheerful and friendly. They yell out Maido whenever someone comes in which makes sense since Maido means welcome in Japanese.

Food

We choose to order different dishes of the menu rather than having the tasting menu. We were there for three hours and tremendously enjoyed the experience.

Every dish was exquisite! I don’t knowledge they make everything taste so delicious.

I’ll let the photos do the talking:

Maido, Peru – Best fried rice I have ever had . Looks so simple but was delicious.
Maido, Peru – Incredible desserts. Probably some of the best desserts I have ever had !

Maido, Peru – The second dessert we had and it was better than the first !

Overall the best dining experience we had in all of Peru ! We would go back to Peru just to have a meal at Maido . We had a chance to try Central as well and we would choose Maido over Central. It can be a bit of a splurge but well worth it .
