The Trevi Fountain is one of the top places I had wanted to visit in Rome . I had seen it featured in many movies and has read about it in multiple publications .

Managed to get there on our second night in Rome .

As you near the fountain the crowds get bigger. Don’t get stressed about it . You can still get close to it and take photos. People move in and out .

Our hotel was about twenty minutes from the fountain as such we visited and passed by the fountain many times during our stay .

It was always crowded and always exciting to see it . We threw a coin in it . The story goes that if you throw one coin you will visit Rome again , if you throw two coins you will fall in love with a Roman. I made sure my husband only threw one coin in .

Best Time To See The Trevi Fountain?

I found it was better to see the fountain at night time. It was prettier with the lights.

Definitely a must do on any trip to Rome . Doesn’t take very long to do but will leave you happy !
