Unexpected Interruptions

We were all set to leave Washington DC on Day 6 ! Got to the airport on time , dropped off rental car , checked in, went to the lounge and had coffee.

While we waited to board came to know our flight was cancelled. Such a bummer !!! It took a few hours to get sorted out for the next flight leaving for Toronto .

Unfortunately for us it wasn’t till the next day . This was December 31 st of 2019 .

They offered us free hotel . So we rented a car and came to the hotel . It sucked . We were really looking forward to going home and spending the New Year Eve with our families .

Had to make the best of the situation. We were flying out of the Virginia airport so our hotel was in Virginia.

We decided to have a quiet evening . Had Thai food and stayed in just the two of us .

The next morning we were able to catch our flight and make it home for the New Year !

In travelling you will run into all kind of unexpected issues . The best you can go is handle it as efficiently as possible and keep moving forward !
