Early morning pondering session on our Overwater Bungalow dock

I was planning to wake up early morning to watch the sun rise however by the time I woke up the Sun was already up ! Kesavan wasn’t up yet so I sat on our Water Bungalow deck and enjoyed the early morning quite. Watching the water and looking to see if I could see fishes in the water .

Walk to the breakfast Restaurant – Aailaa

We walked from our resort to the restaurant saving breakfast. It was a perfectly sunny day and truly enjoyed our walk . Was so thankful and excited to be at the resort in the Maldives!

Resort Library

The JW Marriott Maldives has an incredible library. Filled with all kinds of books . He resort has only opened a few months earlier so some of the books were brand new . This was heaven for a book nerd like me . We made a stop here before continuing to the restaurant for our buffet breakfast.

First time exposure to the Incredible Free Resort buffet breakfast – Aailaa

Our breakfast buffet was free since my husband is a titanium member with Marriott. The breakfast buffet spread was incredible! They had so many variety and made to order items . We were blown away by the amount of choice . My favourite items were freshly made poori , curry and Maldivian tuna sambal . Had these dishes all five days for breakfast.

Explored different areas of the resort on foot

After breakfast we visited different areas of the resort on foot . Wanted to see all the different areas . The resort had two pools . One infinity pool . A stunning beach and a tree house restaurant. Definitely well designed .

It was a good walk for us and a great way to see all that our private island could offer us .

We stopped by the library on the way back to our room and borrowed a few books .

Swimming At Our Overwater Bungalow

Once we were back at our Bungalow we were ready for swimming. We swam in the ocean right off our room and we swam in our plunge pool . This was such a treat that we didn’t feel the need to use the larger pools in the resort !

Nap

After the swim we were all tuckered out so took a nap ! Definitely he definition of a relaxed vacation.

Pizza & Italian food for lunch – Fiamma

When we woke up we were starving . So we called out butler for golf cart transit to Fiamma . The Italian restaurant on the resort . Has pasta and pizza for lunch . The food was okay . They really tried but couldn’t quite nail the ingredients or taste .

We walked around some more after our lunch before taking a golf cart back to our bungalow.

Hanging Out At Our Overwater Bungalow

We alternated between enjoying the ocean , reading, relaxing and spending time with each other . Having a very spacious water bungalow meant we were just happy to hang out at our villa .

Dinner at Sushi RestaurantHashi

We had dinner at Hashi – which was a Japanese restaurant. The food was okay . After dinner we took a golf cart back to our resort.

Goodnight

Enjoyed watching the nighttime sky from our patio before calling it a night . Amazingly the day felt full and we were not bored even for a moment of it .
