Early Morning Walk & Breakfast

My husband and I both woke up early . It was our last day and we wanted to do as much as possible. We also had an early morning Snorkelling Excursion. Sat by our deck and enjoyed the sun rise before walking over for breakfast at Aailaa .

The breakfast was delicious as usual. By this time we had favourite items at the buffet . Mine was a Maldive Tuna salad and Poori .

The breakfast restaurant had a deck that oversaw the sea . As we sat there that morning I took photos and videos of the fishes that swam close to shore . Trying to capture enough memories to remember the Maldives always .

We took the buggy back to our hotel to get ready for Snorkelling!

Snorkelling In The Maldives

The Snorkelling excursion was offered from the Dive Center at our resort . The resort had its own decked out boat !

That specific morning it was just us and another couple there for the snorkelling. We filled out our forms and took off .

The view of our resorts Island as we drifted away in the boat gave us another perspective. We passed a few uninhabited islands on the way to our snorkelling site .

Our snorkelling lead was originally from one of the uninhabited islands . He grew up on it before the government moved all the people that lived on the Island. The story was sad and haunting.

The couples we were sharing the excursion with were very kind . They were from Dubai and was visiting the Maldives after 20 odd years ! The had been here for their honeymoon the first time around .

As we got closer , we saw some Dolphins in the water . This freaked out the lady who was part of the other couples . As a result she didn’t come into the water with us . It was only me husband, the other guy , instructor and myself that went into the water .

We saw many colourful fishes and corals . Very beautiful! Overall recommend if you have never been snorkelling.

After about 30 to 40 minutes we had enough and got back on the boat . The ride back was uneventful.

Beautiful hot day for a boat ride . By the time we docked back at the Dive Center we were exhausted. We tipped our crew and caught a buggy back to our room .

Room Service & Nap

We took a much needed shower and called room service for lunch . We just had no energy left to make it to one of the restaurants for lunch . When the food arrived it disappeared quickly !

Right after we took a long nap . Much needed after the day on the water .

Dinner & Final Walk Through

When we woke up from our nap it was night time . We cleaned up and made it to Aailaa for dinner . It was a bittersweet night for us ! Our last night in the Maldives.

Once we were done dinner we went to visit the infinity pool one last time . We came back and had drinks at the charmingly decorated Bar ! Definitely a sad night . We had grown to love our own private Island and will always be Thankful for the memories.

Relaxing

We made back to our Villa and spend the night relaxing and trying to take everything in on our last night !
