ITC Grand Chola – Common Areas

The ITC Grand Chola is just that grand . More than a hotel it feels like a palace . With multiple entrances , grand shiny staircases , and tastefully chosen decorative pieces throughout the hotel .

After a slow Uber trip from the airport, this hotel was refreshing!

Room

The room was a decent size , the bed comfortable , luxurious bath products and we had a view of the pool and garden from our room . Preferred than a city view – Chennai is not a scenic city .

Restaurants

The hotel has 7 restaurants on site ! Many award winning ones . We tried three of the restaurants and the breakfast buffet . You can find the reviews for the restaurants here . Enjoyed all the restaurants and highly recommend.

Garden & Pool

On our last morning I explored the garden and pool area. The hotel has a delightful garden and a decent pool . Perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to enjoy it fully . We had a full schedule that didn’t allow for a relaxing afternoon.

Ambiance

The hotel was definitely throughly designed . My favourites were the large marble staircase and the various decorative pieces scattered throughout the hotel. Definitely find time to wander around .

Overall

Overall highly recommend the hotel for a luxurious stay in Chennai . It has everything one would need and is a great refugee from the hectic city outside .
