My round trip flight from Toronto to Singapore had a transit in San Francisco.

On the way to Singapore I had no issues going through security and even had some time to spend in the United Lounge .

The United Lounge has good white wine . Only one type but decent. Food is blah but that is typical of most airport lounges .

On my way back from Singapore I had the most horrible experience of any airport I have been to . We had less than an hour and half transit however our flight was early so we had two and half hours .

To get through security for someone with a Canadian Passport it took over an hour and half . It was pathetic. Coming from the experience in Singapore airport this experience was pathetic. I honestly didn’t know why it had to take this long .

I even asked an airport staff if they can help move up the people with shorter transit . I got a very generic no interest in helping customer kind of answer of “everyone has a transit”.

I know this is a bullshit answer and I have had airport staff pull people with shorter transit to the front at other airports.

I would recommend against transit through SF airport if you have a choice. I know I will avoid it in the future!
