Top Restaurants In Florence

We had some of our best meals in all of Italy in Tuscany. Finding incredible restaurants is a big part of why we travel . Florence did not disappoint at all .

In the time we were in Florence we had the chance to experience two incredible restaurants:

1. Ristorante Buca Mario ( Top pick )

2. Trattoria ZaZa ( Really good)

Ristorante Buca Mario

We visited Buca Mario based on recommendation from one of my Husband’s well off foodie friend . It was one of the top dining experience in Italy for us . The food was delicious and service excellent. It had some of the most amazing dessert in all of Italy.

We had :

1. Risotto with mushrooms

2. Lamb

3. Two delicious desserts off their desert tray

4. Latte

Buca Mario is locates in a very unassuming place however it was crowded . It is a formal dining place . The food is amazing. Our top recommendation in Florence! We made reservation ahead of time and recommend you do so .

Trattoria ZaZa

We stumbled upon Trattoria Za Za . It was raining and we were near by during lunch time . The restaurant is huge . There wasn’t much of a line . We had a table for two . We ordered a few dishes and a bottle of wine .

We had :

1. Fries with truffles ( first time I had seen acutual truffles on fries vs truffle powder )

2. Truffle Pasta – we were in the land of truffles

3. T bone steak

4. Bottle of wine

Everything was delicious. The bottle of wine at lunch definitely helped . Definitely drop by here if you are looking for a delicious authentic Italian meal . It is also located close to the Duomo and other attractions.
