Where To Stay In Algarve ?
Algarve is a region in the South Of Portugal and is famous for its stunning beaches , rock formations and charming historic towns !
There are multiple towns you can stay in the Algarve region . We stayed:
- 3 days in Lagos at Cascade Wellness Resort for the beaches and to see the rock formations. Resort is located right beside Ponta Da Piedade .
- 3 days in Albufeira at a stunning resort : Pine Cliff Hotel
Highly recommend both towns and hotels .
Lagos :
When we were based out of Lagos :
- We did a road trip by the coast . Doing stops at view points and beaches . It was an incredible experience. Will link to the route once I post it .
- We also hiked through rock formations. Our hotel was walking distance to this place .
- We did a private boat tour . That also gave us a chance to see caves and rock formations.
- The historic Center of Lagos is beautiful. We walked around and had many meals here .
- We were also able to find some incredible restaurants in Lagos !
Albufeira:
In Albufeira we stayed at an incredible hotel/resort .
- We tremendously enjoyed the property. We had a double floor apartment!
- The property was beautifully decorated and had good dining options . Our favourite was the cliff side bar .
- The property was on a cliff and had an elevator to go down to the beach . It was stunningly designed . We very much enjoyed our walks !
- We used Albufeira as a base to visit other towns .
- Downtown Albufeira was also nice to explore.
Overall we had such a great time in the Algarve . Definitely a region we would visit again .
