Three Days And Two Nights In Venice – Day 1

Three Days And Two Nights In Venice – Day 1

Planning to do my Italy Trip latter this year and getting an early start on the planning!

Day 1 :

We will get into Venice at early morning from Tuscany. Once we are all checked in, the first place on the list is St.Marks Square. This is a six minutes walk from our hotel .

St. Marks Square

There were some buildings near by that was recommended to be visited : St Mark’s Campanile, St Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace and Torre dell’Orologio.

Torre dell’Orologio

This is the clock tower in St. Marc Square . We are going to see this from outside and not climb up to the top .

St. Marc’s Basilica

World famous attraction in Venice . Entrance is free but you can get a Skip the line pass for 3 Euro per person . No shorts or sleeves dress . To go out on terrace you need to buy additional ticket to museum for five euro .

St. Mark’s Campanile

This is the bell tower associated with St Marc’s Basilica. It is recommended as the best place to see Venice from a tower . The skip the line pass is a bit expensive at 26 Euro but might be worth it if you are short on time . More about it Here .

Doge’s Palace

This is a government administrator building place s prison with rich history. There are multiple tours you can do to see the palace . The main one is 25 Euros which is good enough for us . This site has all the details and entrance information.

Bridge Of Sighs

A famous bridge near the Doge’s Palace . Definitely recommended to visit .

Ponte di Rialto

The most famous bridge out of the four bridges that cross the canal . Great for strolling , photos and buying souvenirs. This is near the square and can be covered in the same day !

Summary :

The above activities can easily take a full day ! If we still have time left over in Day 1 we will explore the city and go souvenir shopping!

Will cover breakfast/lunch and dinner plans separately !
